It’s been a hard couple of years. We have all felt it, we are all coming out of it!
I am here to address the absence of Dance Manitoba, with the support and leadership of our Board of Directors. Our absence was necessary in the face of challenges we, as an organization, overcame. Dance Manitoba was not immune to the difficult issues many businesses manage at internal and organizational levels. I am proud and honoured to say we are back, and we are here to serve you better than ever.

Please follow us on our social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, for up-to-date information about our upcoming “Back to Dance” celebration at Assiniboine Park, scheduled for August 25. This season, we are working to include our annual Showcase event, currently planned for November 2022, as well as more diverse and inclusive performances in the Spring of 2023. Further, we are excited to deliver monthly events and workshops throughout this season. Thanks to your feedback and support, we are thrilled to be developing an educational dance symposium, scheduled for 2024, as we have all been missing the Dance Manitoba Festival. The Board of Directors are beyond excited and committed to offering as much as we can to the community.

Our board consists of volunteers, and I would be amiss if I did not further acknowledge their belief and commitment to Dance Manitoba. Collectively, our current board has hundreds of years of dance experience, as well as further talents in accounting, law, business, teaching, and strengths in so much more.
